The cerium content of the Milky Way as revealed by Gaia DR3 GSP-Spec abundances

چکیده

Context. The recent Gaia third data release contains a homogeneous analysis of millions high-quality Radial Velocity Spectrometer (RVS) stellar spectra by the GSP-Spec module. This led to estimation individual chemical abundances and allows us chemically map Milky Way. published include three heavy elements produced neutron-captures in interiors: Ce, Zr, Nd. Aims. We study Galactic content cerium based on these /RVS discuss evolution this element. Methods. used sample about 30 000 local thermal equilibrium Ce abundances, selected after applying different combinations flags. Based DR3 astrometric radial velocities, we explore Way and, particular, its halo disc components. Results. high quality is quantified through literature comparisons. found rather flat [Ce/Fe] versus [M/H] trend. also gradient derived from field stars independently, 50 open clusters. agrees with previous studies. vertical was estimated. report an increasing [Ce/Ca] [Ca/H] disc, illustrating late contribution asymptotic giant branch respect supernovae type II. Our including young massive population, are well reproduced new three-infall model. In M 4 globular cluster be enriched cerium. Moreover, 11 belonging Thamnos, Helmi Stream, Gaia-Sausage-Enceladus accreted systems were identified chemo-dynamical diagnostics. that Stream might slightly underabundant compared two other systems. Conclusions. work illustrates which significantly contribute unveiling heavy-element history

Fluorine Abundances in the Milky Way Bulge

Fluorine (F) abundances are derived in a sample of 6 bulge red giants in Baade’s Window. These giants span a factor of 10 in metallicity and this is the first study to define the behavior of F with metallicity in the bulge. The bulge results show an increase in F/O with increasing oxygen. This trend overlaps what is found in the disk at comparable metallicities, with the most oxygen-rich bulge ...

Elemental Abundances Vs . Kinematics in the Milky Way ’ S Disk

We present the results of our investigation of three samples kinematically representative of the thin and thick disks and the Hercules stream using the catalogue of Soubiran & Girard (2005). We have observed abundance trends and age distribution of each component. Our results show that the two disks are chemically well separated, they overlap greatly in metallicity and both show parallel decrea...
